About This Guide — Unofficial, Independent, Obsessive

This site is an unofficial fan guide to The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, built and maintained by fans of the game. We are not Nemlei, not Kit9 Studio, and not affiliated with either — we are players who got tired of reading download pages that lie, and decided to write the guide we kept looking for. This page explains what we cover, how we work, and the accuracy rules every page here is held to.

What This Site Covers

Everything a player needs around the game itself: the honest download picture (Steam only, what things cost, what to avoid), episode status and strategy, character profiles, ending explanations that separate what exists from what is invented, platform truth for Android, Mac and iPhone players, troubleshooting for the problems players actually hit, and a blog that takes the community's live debates — release dates, theories, the eternal trial of Ashley Graves — as seriously as the community does.

The through-line is verification. This game's search results are unusually polluted: wrong engine, wrong prices, invented endings, fake countdowns, APKs that do not exist. A guide that repeats the pollution is worse than no guide. So this site checks claims against the game and its Steam page, and where the truth is 'nobody knows yet', it prints exactly that.

Our Accuracy Rules

  • Facts come from the game or the developer. Release dates, prices, counts of endings — if it is stated as fact here, it is traceable to the Steam build, the Steam page, or a Kit9 Studio announcement.
  • Estimates are labelled estimates. Character ages and heights, fan theories, community readings — presented as what they are, never laundered into canon.
  • Unreleased content is described as unreleased. Burial endings do not exist yet on this site, however many other sites list them.
  • Corrections beat pride. When the game updates or we get something wrong, the page changes and the modified date moves.

Those rules cost us some search-friendly claims. We cannot offer you a Burial download, a free full version, or a love-route ending guide, because none of those things exist. What we can offer is that everything else on this site — every date, price, count and instruction — has been checked by someone who played the game and read the Steam page before writing the sentence.

About the Game and Its Creators

The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is a psychological horror adventure developed by Nemlei and published by Kit9 Studio, built in RPG Maker MV. It began as a free itch.io episode in March 2023, launched on Steam that October, and reached its biggest chapter yet with Episode 3: Decay Part 1 in April 2025. It remains in Early Access, with the Burial branch and Episode 4 in production. All game art, names, characters and trademarks on this site belong to their respective owners; our use of screenshots and artwork is for identification and commentary in a guide context.

If you love the game, the single most useful thing you can do for its future is the boring one: buy it on Steam, where the money reaches the people finishing it. This site takes no part of that and wants none — we just want the remaining episodes to exist, same as you.

Contact and Corrections

Spotted an error, an outdated status, or a claim we cannot back? That is exactly the feedback this site runs on. Reach us through the contact page with the page URL and the correction; verified fixes go in fast, and the page's updated date will say so. Developers or rights-holders with concerns about any material here should use the same page — we respond to legitimate requests promptly and in good faith.

Thanks for reading the guide the way it was written to be read: sceptically, completely, and with a save file kept before the Episode 2 finale. You are going to need it.

How This Guide Is Maintained

A guide to a game in active development is a living document or a liar, so this one is maintained like a living document. Every page carries a published date and a modified date at the top, and the modified date only moves when the page's substance changes — a corrected price, a new episode status, a claim re-verified against a new build. When Kit9 Studio posts a progress report or ships content, the affected pages here are re-read against it: the episodes list, the endings pages and the two release-date blog posts first, because those are where stale facts do the most damage.

The maintenance rule that matters most is subtraction. Pages about this game rot in a specific way — they keep yesterday's 'in development' long after release, they keep pre-Decay ending counts, they keep 2023 prices. Our update passes hunt those fossils deliberately. If you catch one we missed, the contact page is the fastest route to its extinction, and readers who send corrections are credited with the guide's accuracy far more honestly than its writers are.

A Note on Spoilers

This guide covers a story game, so one more house rule deserves printing: we warn before we spoil. Pages that name ending outcomes carry spoiler warnings at the top; character and episode pages describe shapes, motives and mechanics while leaving the scenes themselves for your first playthrough wherever we honestly can. Where a fact cannot be explained without a spoiler — an ending's form, a dead end's trigger — the warning appears before the fact, never after it. If you ever find a spoiler on this site that arrived unannounced, that counts as an error like any other, and the contact page is where it goes to die.
