Terms and Conditions — Using This Guide

These terms govern your use of this unofficial fan guide to The Coffin of Andy and Leyley. By using the site you accept them; if you do not, please do not use the site. They are written to be read — short sections, plain language — and they cover acceptable use, whose content is whose, how much you should rely on what we publish, and where our responsibility ends.

The Site and Its Status

This website is an independent, unofficial fan guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Nemlei, Kit9 Studio, Valve or Steam. Its purpose is informational: guides, explanations, news tracking and commentary about a published game, written for players and prospective players. Nothing on this site is the game itself, and nothing here grants any right to the game, which is sold exclusively through Steam by its publisher.

We work to keep information accurate and current, and our correction practices are described on the about page. However, games in active development change: prices move with sales, release statuses evolve, and counts of content shift with updates. Information here is provided in good faith and 'as is', and where a fact matters to a purchase or a decision, the game's Steam page is the authoritative source and prevails over anything written here.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the site for your own personal, lawful purposes — reading guides, checking facts, planning playthroughs.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting.
  • Do not scrape or republish the site's original written content wholesale; brief quotation with credit and a link is welcome and normal.
  • Do not use the site or its contact channels to distribute malware, spam, or infringing or unlawful material.
  • Do not misrepresent this site as official, or its content as statements by the developer or publisher.

We may restrict access for misuse. Because the site requires no accounts, that is rarely necessary — but the terms record the right, and the spirit behind them: this is a small fan project run in good faith, and it asks the same in return.

Intellectual Property

The game's name, characters, artwork, screenshots, logos and all related trademarks are the property of Nemlei, Kit9 Studio and their respective owners. Their appearance on this site is for identification, commentary and guide purposes. This site claims no ownership of any game intellectual property, and nothing in these terms transfers any.

The site's own original content — its written guides, articles and layout — belongs to the site's operators. Fan art reproduced here belongs to its artists; credit and removal practices for artists are described on the contact page and honoured promptly. If you believe any material here infringes your rights, contact us with specifics and we will address it quickly and in good faith.

External Links and Third Parties

This site links to external services, principally Steam, and to community platforms. Those services are independent of us: we do not control their content, availability, pricing or terms, and following a link takes you under the destination's own terms and privacy policy. A link is a signpost, not an endorsement of everything at its destination, and any purchase you make on Steam is a transaction between you and Valve and the publisher, under their terms entirely.

We are not responsible for third-party sites' content or practices, for files offered by third parties (including the unofficial APKs and downloads our guides warn against), or for losses arising from acting on third-party claims our pages explicitly dispute. Read our guides' warnings as part of these terms: where we say a file or claim is unofficial or unsafe, that assessment is provided to protect you, and disregarding it is your own decision.

Liability and Changes

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, this site and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site or reliance on its content, including losses arising from third-party downloads, changed game content, or decisions made on information that was accurate when published and later superseded by the developer. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may revise these terms as the site evolves; the current version always applies and lives at this URL, with its modified date shown at the top of the page. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Questions about these terms belong on the contact page, where they will be answered by the people who wrote them.

Governing Spirit of These Terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the site's operators and are intended to be read consistently with them; where any mandatory consumer or data-protection law gives you stronger rights than a provision here, that law prevails and the provision is read down to match it, not struck out in a way that harms you further. Headings are for navigation only and do not affect interpretation. If a court or authority finds any single provision unenforceable, the finding is confined to that provision, and the rest of these terms — written, as they are, to describe a small fan project acting in good faith — continue to operate as the agreement between this site and its readers.

One final clarification, made because readers reasonably ask: using this site creates no account, no subscription and no ongoing contractual relationship beyond these terms themselves. You may stop using the site at any time, for any reason, and the sum total of what follows you out the door is whatever you learned about two fictional siblings and the real demon of reading terms and conditions to the very end.
